Before Re-pairing a RayNeo V3 Again, Preserve the Reconnection State

A January 2026 V3 owner review describes returning an earlier purchase after an unsatisfactory iOS experience and later trying the product again. It is a reminder that a product name can stay the same while the software experience changes. It is not evidence that every historical connection problem has been fixed.

For a V3 that reconnects poorly after being put away, record what survives before starting over. Is the glasses entry still present in the app? Does the phone show a Bluetooth connection? Is the expected account signed in? These observations disappear easily during repeated unpairing and resetting.

Distinguish discovery, pairing and reconnection

Finding a nearby device, binding it to an account and restoring an existing connection are not necessarily the same stage. A phone failing to discover a device already associated with another account raises a different question from an established device failing after sleep. Describe the stage rather than saying only that Bluetooth is broken.

Write down the app's exact name, publisher and version, phone OS and glasses firmware where visible. The publisher's App Store listing includes multiple products and changing release notes. A complaint about that app without a model identity cannot establish a V3-specific policy.

Keep local recordings out of the experiment

If the glasses may contain unsynced media, ask support about preservation before a destructive step. Do not assume that an account change, app reinstall or factory reset leaves every recording intact. Follow the exact model's current instructions instead of a reset sequence intended for a different brand.

For an ordinary comparison, note whether the failure occurs after a short sleep, after charging or after several days unused. Do not deliberately leave the device uncharged to manufacture a failure. Record the state you encountered and any supported restart already attempted.

What a useful support response should clarify

Ask whether the existing binding should remain, which component should be restarted and whether the proposed action risks local files. If support identifies a required app version, retain the version and date rather than relabelling it permanently “latest.”
